Built with a single-piece Monocoque Zaion-V body, the Procyon MQ LT is exceptionally light and highly rigid. Daiwa's Monocoque Body increases overall strength, improves water resistance with the absence of screws, and significantly reduces overall weight. The MQ frame design provides better spatial efficiency and allows for a larger gear to fit inside of the reel, adding power and longevity to the gear set. The frame is built from a new material called Zaion-V; a more easily machined compound than Daiwa's standard Zaion. Zaion-V is extremely durable, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and can be implemented into a wider range of reels.
To enhance the winding operation and responsiveness, Daiwa's Air Drive Rotor sheds unnecessary weight without sacrificing rigidity under high drag pressures. The rotor will never give or flex during the fight, ensuring the most efficient power transmission. This advanced lightened rotor design reduces the inertia required to spin around the reel, making it easier to crank the handle and creating a more responsive winding experience. Other familiar Daiwa features such as the tubular Air Bail, Advanced Tournament Drag (ATD), and dependable DIGIGEAR technology combine to help this latest generation of Procyon stand out from other reels in its price bracket.
